Yes I've been on vacation for 3 weeks and no I've not posted here for that time despite many intereting topics, I've been bored, depressed adn overwhelmed with apathy. As usual. Well, I'm still alive and for once, excited about something again. Blow me.

Procedurally generated galaxy map, play a different galaxy every time!
Single player and co-op for local play

Dynamic story system that logs your fight and generates exciting counter attacks and special missions that up the challenge level

Still six days to get in on the initial funding drive.

And I'm doing my damnedest not to buy into the PS2 beta. But this looks like a degree of awesome that hasn't been seen in a very long time.

Post by: Ken on 14 Sep 2012, 19:04: The campaign has ended and Planetary Annihilation met every stretch goal offered, which will add a full orchestral score to the final game and production of a documentary chronicling the entire development process. 44,161 Kickstarter pledges brought in $2,228,344 of the 900k the devs needed, so chances are good we're going to see this thing come to life in a grand way. Very excited!

The guys at Planetary Annihilation are doing well enough that they partnered with Planetary Resources (http://backstage.eve-inspiracy.com/index.php?topic=3191.msg48715#msg48715) on their kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1458134548/arkyd-a-space-telescope-for-everyone-0) and are providing those who contributed $99 or more a copy of Planetary Annihilation.
