Title: So how about that new ship?

One one hand, yay CONCORD! Also, it has a spinny bit. Whee!

On the other, checked it out on SiSi and it's less sexy than it looks in the devblag. Although that may have something to do with the fact that my graphics settings are at minimum.

It looks like a Borg ship.  :|  From that episode of TNG where Hugh returned, with Lore and his "emo chip".

I'm so very, very depressed now.

It actually looks like a spaceship, if you want my opinion.

So it's a shuttle with a hacking mod bonus?

i have no real sense of scale

I assume that the little pod thing that you see on the right of the picture (left of the ship), is a thing to hold a captive True Slave, to "assist" with codebreaking and stuff.

Or maybe that's what's inside the green glass domes. :o

I haven't seen it on Sisi yet, but I intend to get a whole passel of them for Casi.

Also, here's hoping this leads to something similar like happened with the Primae -> Noctis creation. (Sex jokes aside.)

The more I look at the concept art, the more its starting to grow on me because for some reason, it reminds me of the days of Gundam 0083.

That being said, it's still a hacking shuttle. >>

This?
YES!

In all honesty, a CONCORD frig should be combat-oriented, a bit overpowered, and require all 4 racial frig skills to level 4 to be flown.

This should have been a gift from SoE really.....but oh well.....what strikes me as odd, is the amarr racial frig skills as requirement.

Hm. CONCORD favoring the Amarr?

What a surprise.

Which is double-plus odd given the lack of the Amarr design aesthetic in any way in this ship. The other CONCORD ships in the game have elements of all four empires incorporated into their design, and here you can see the Caldari grey blockiness, the Gallente green curvy glass, and a little bit of the Minmatar conduits and tubing and orange lights. But no Amarriannitude at all.

I wouldn't go that far.  Rather:

I'd think the reasons:

http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Takmahl_Biodroid_Controller

Were a bit... obvious.

Quote
Victor raised an eyebrow. The Sansha were always a prime surveillance and acquisition interest for Imperial intelligence. Their advances in cybernetic technology provided the live realization for the kinds of medical experiments that Amarrian scientists could only dream of. The Sansha have long known that they were being watched, and that errant ships had been captured and dissected by Victor's own men from time to time. He wondered if the Empire would be blamed for the destruction of one of their worlds.

Is what I mean. Or maybe they're in the lower of the glass bulges at the front.

and Takmahl had nothing to do with the Sansha afaik, it's all about Blood Raiders with the Takmahl.

Kuvakei is allied with the Blood Raiders the last I heard...

Also:

Quote from: Hyperconsciousness
It was common knowledge that Sansha Kuvakei combined Jovian capsule technology with illegally modified brain implants in order to start off his notorious army of sycophants, but Empire attempts to replicate his research have always been unsuccessful, and it had long been postulated that the Jovians may have been one of the shadowy forces who secretly supported Kuvakei, supplying him with clandestine technologies in order to see what he could make of it.

If you look at what I linked, you might see something rather interesting. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phrenic_nerve)

In other words, when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

It is not impossible for Kuvakei to have been in contact with Takmahl technology, and even less impossible for the Jovians to have come into contact with said technology.  Seeing as how Kuvakei is also allied with the Blood Raiders, whom you have suggested could be in possession of such technology, is it not reasonable to infer that Kuvakei would have access to such technology?

Furthermore, given that we have access to in-game evidence of many of the technologies now employed by the four (though in reality five) Empires and the pirate factions were developed, either independently or previously in New Eden by the four "ancient races", could it not suggest that certain technologies (for instance, the capsule) could be combinations of very simple technologies present in ancient sites?

All that I'm suggesting is that the Amarr Empire has studied Sansha's Nation intensely, and have archaeological evidence suggesting similar technology was possessed by the Takmahl.  The mention of Marcus in particular, a scientist who worked on Jamyl's "rebirth" solidifies my inference that it is highly probable that the Amarr Empire would have unique insight into Sansha's Nation technology.

My opinion too, I know I know we're super advanced and all but it's a nice 'callback' to 'classic' space ships in design I think.
